Finally took delivery of my TEVO Tarantula 3d printer today. Shipped this past wednesday and delivered friday from TEVO Canada. I can not wait to start it, although slightly frightened as well. It is going to be a fun family build. I also grabbed up the dual Z axis and auto leveling bed. I have heard everything from 12-20 hours to assemble it then start printing support brackets....YouTube here I come.

Where to begin lol

What is it what is it what is it

That was a calibration test cube. Everything worked fairly well. Printing a fan vent now to help with cooling the printed material then onto actual fun projects. I have a feeling we will need more filament right soon. It comes with about 250 grams of PLA filament and 250 grams of ABS. I have a 1kg real of blue ABS that I purchased with it. All that will last a while of printing, but we want other colors too lol.

On the fence, but that is only because of DIY frustrations. Although it did start printing from the get go. Printed a calibration cube pretty much perfectly. I did not have any issues with PLA and I was using PEI sheets for adhesion. I switched to PETG and got a few good test prints, but then things got clogged etc etc. Thinking about upgrading the extruder to a true E3D. In the mean time I just got done cleaning out the hot end and going to try printing a 30mm to 40mm fan adapter for the cool side. I hope that keeps the temp down enough to stop the filament from melting up into the PTFE tube (i have some extra on order now as I can not trim any more off). Printed PETG at 240/80. PLA was 210/60.

I think it would be cool to try 3d printing some rocks and let coral grow all over it.. hmmmmm
Already in the back of my head. There are several frag plug designs out there and some really cool reef related ones.

My oldest wanted something cute and found this.
