I am looking at drilling my 36 gal bow front. I am thinking of drilling the bottom. Any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

All ways have their advantages depending on need. Bottom drilled is great as the tank can be flush to the wall.

They do take a larger overflow though. In a 36, that can be some prime realestate.

I prefer top back drilled with ghost style overflow and bean animal drain. 100% quiet and safe. The in tank portion of the overflow is only about 1" from the back of the tank.

Do you have any pictures? This will be my first time doing this. Last tank I had a hang on the back overflow. Thanks for your input

I had a bowfront and the bottom was tempered glass so I couldn't drill it
