Acclimation Box

I want to make an acclimation box to use in my big tank.. I am going to use egg crate because I have lots.. going to make an 8 X 8 box but not sure how to do the top.. should I leave it open and how to attach it to the rim of the tank..hoping that someone else has done this and can give me some pointers... thanks...

One of these at either end so that it can hang over the edge. You may need 1 or 2 across (only one in the diagram) to span the width of your trim. Obviously not to scale or correct number of squares, that is up to you.

Then do a front, back and bottom just out of a square. i wouldnt worry about a top. I would put it all together with small zipties that you can get a bag of 100 at a dollar store. You could do a lid to, but I would just sit it on top and not mount it.

Here is what I have been using forever for both fish and corals.
It works great!
If you go with the quick, easy no break and no hassle clamp, just make sure it is a plastic one.
