Beware!

Dog woke me up last night, I could hear a strange noise like the toilet running, went downstairs to a small flood in my laundry room.
Found this!. Luckily there is a floor drain in there.

I bought this at Lowes, it was wide open.
Crap!

It just randomly cracked there ?

It's about 2 years old, looks like a glued joint that separated.
There was no physical stress on the valve.
