It's time to change your filters, and save $$$!

Changing your RO/DI filters is one of those maintenance items that is very easy to do, however a lot of us put this routine maintenance off for far too long. Having good quality water is essential to building a healthy, successful reef

We have some of the industries best filters at prices that cant be beat!

-Kx Technologies MATRIKX brand carbon blocks are the most trusted and widely used carbon blocks in the world
-Purtrex Depth Sediment filters are true graded density filters that capture larger particles at the surface and smaller particles towards the center
-Dow is a leader when it comes to water treatment and filtration. Their membranes have a 99% rejection ratio!

5 stages 90 gpd

For the 5 stage we recommend the following;

1 - 5 micron GE PURTREX DEPTH SEDIMENT FILTER 10"
2 - MATRIKX CTO CARBON BLOCK - 5 MICRON 10"
3 - MATRIKX CTO PLUS CARBON BLOCK - 0.6 MICRON
4 - REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE - DOW FILMTEC 100gpd
5 - DI RESIN (arrives next week)

And the cost for all? Thanks

What will happen if I go with smaller micron size? Is it not always better to go with smaller size to ensure higher filtration result?

Smaller micron size is better because you are stopping more stuff from being sent to membrane and DI. It will extend the life of your DI and your membrane.

You are correct and Thank you.

It is important that you have the filters in the proper order and that you have a range of filters for each size particles. If you were to put all small micron filters on your setup they would clog super fast and your RO/DI unit output would decrease rapidly. It is important to have the small micron size but you need the "larger" 5 micron types as well.
