i know there are a lot of led builds on here but I was wondering if anyone has taken one of these 165 w led fixtures and played around with swapping the leds to change the colour of the white channel ie more green red and uv. I run the blues at 70 percent but white channel at 20 seems I could get more out of it coral colour pop wise if I removed some white and bumped up other colours and ran the channel at say 50 percent

Let me know your thoughts

As long as you watch for the polarity of the leds, you will be fine.
I changed all the blues on mine (I bought it used and the blues were burned).

If I were you only keep about 2 red and 2 green and change out afew of the warm whites out for 20000k leds and also add 2-4 uv leds to the white channel as more red and green may cause algae and will make your tank look orange.
Also check out sb reef lights and study his sight and it'll give you what colours are best all around.
