Bringing live rock back over the border ???

Has anyone had issues with bringing live rock back over the border into Canada. I cant find it on cites act and Canadian and fisheries and oceans say it doesnt fall under any of there restictions ?

I have done it many times.  However I never call it live rock. It may throw up a few red flags to the border guys. I just say rock for my aquarium. I tell them it's half the price in the states that's why I buy it there. Never a problem.

YA, I would say rock, not live rock.
If they search and question you, your still good. You didnt lie.
Even then, they will probably let you across with it.

So can we just call coral fish tank decorations and bring them over too?

I'm sure you'll be ok with rock, call them if your worried.

i got my live rock from liverockand reef  and that was when i started my tank for first time 2 yreas ago  i didnt even know about this forum    i got the tank and stand at petsmart  and went online for live rock in goggle and ordered 2 big boxes of fuji rock shipped to port huron shipping depot  when over and got it the next day  told them i had aquarium rock  and they ask how much i said 450    they wnated to see the bill.....good bye have fun setting up yur aquarium

Yes...but important to note that your not supposed to do this....so.at your own risk.  You are relying on the ignorance of the customs agent.
