My 1" ocellaris was in the tank by him self for a couple of weeks before i introduced a 1.5" black ice snowflake into the tank. I witnessed my ocellaris doing his seizure thing which from I understand indicates that he submits to the bigger female one. On the first week or so, they were together all the time.

In the past week, I noticed that they are not together anymore eventhough he is still doing his seizure once in a while, even worst the female snowflake does not want to share the pellet food with him. I am using two little fish ring to keep the pellet on one spot.

Did they get divorce? Is this normal?

I had this issue with my clowns all was good for a few weeks and then the female became very dominant. Would not allow the male to eat.... my male usually stayed in one area of the tank.... so I'd put food in the area of the female and then quickly put some in the area of the male so he could eat. Just had to out smart the female . I don't think there is anything you can do about her being dominant or being bullish to the male unless you remove one of them

Fortunately, my male clown didn't get too intimidated and still try to eat the food from the ring and the ones that sinking to the bottom.

The other option is to go with Innovative Marine Gourmet defroster.

I have both of them and using them. I use the Gourmet defroster for frozen food, and two little fish one for pellets
