Not sure where to post this... I am looking for all the necessary materials for seeding my 29 gal biocube with copepods. I've looked at some online options but they seem expensive (>$100 to seed my small tank) and I'm not sure about shipping during winter. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this relatively cheaply with what's available in my area?

You are mostly stuck with 2 options
1) buying cultured copepods from someone like canadacopepods
2) picking up some chaetomorph which will contain a decent pod population
downside is that with a biocube 29 you have very little places for them to hide and reproduce, they are limited to the liverock.

What are you trying to achieve by doing this? Mandarin goby?

pods are good in the cold. they actually get refrigerated at shops while waiting to be sold. Canadacopepods is a great place to deal with. Shipping may be your only option due to the limitations in your area.
