Im not really a handman... actually im quite clumsy with tools and woodwork and everything i attempt usually ends up looking like oop:
but heres one for people who dont give up 8)
Im building a tank canopy for my 180 (72x24x24), it will just rest on top of my tank, it wont support my 72" metal halide fixture, as i will leave that hanging from the ceiling.
It will be shaped like a U, covering the front and sides but leaving the back open, I did this for a few reasons, doesnt create a sauna, and it allows me to take the canopy off if i need to.
this is the frame
i used 2x2's and nails, also a few stainless steel braces
