Duncan head dying

Was doing a water change today and noticed a head of my duncan was weird - I had hoped that it was just expelling mucus, or something, but the whole head had turned to goo.

Should I try and break that head off, or just let this thing (RTN???) run it's course?  It was such a nice duncan!?!?!!

I think that I have ticked off a few things (fungia, encrusting monti, duncan) by fragging some softies....hopefully the water change helps.

are you running any carbon? activated carbon..even if you only have a media bag to put it in should help with any kind of chemical warfare caused by fragging.

I guess I will freshen up the carbon then - good idea!
