He had been running this 3D printer pretty much non stop for a couple days. He had just about used 1000 meters of filament and thinks he has just about got it dialed in. If you are needing anything, he is ready to take orders!

Currently he has black, and white material, but he can get pretty much any color (or close) in a day or two.

Things that will be printing next week;

Frag plugs (cause we can)
Frag rack (see below)
Magnet holder for frag rack (I have been so worried about rusting, now I can seal them up!)
Seahorse hitching/feeding tube station
Probe holder
Dosing line holder
Nori feeding bracket

He isn't a huge fan of suction cups, especially when holding up hundreds of dollars of coral, but this has been on the white board for about 15 minutes when the photo was taken...not bad :)

Brackets will hold standard eggcrate. He will be taking some of these to the MAST meeting on February 6 (the weekend meeting/show) and they will be available at his table.

Magnetic frag rack holder done!

The magnets are sealed in a housing, so they won't rust. This one is on a 3/8" piece of acrylic, and not falling off. I am going to see if I can make one stronger for thicker tanks.

I apologize for not keeping up with the forums as much as I should!

Thanks Torx for the putting my FB posts on here!

Just a quick update; I have two of my prototypes (sorry, non aquarium related) in production right now. I have been swamped. I went from doing one off's, to doing hundreds of units (one has been over a thousand) It has been a steep learning curve, and expensive!

I bought the printer as a Christmas present to myself (best gifts are the ones you pick!) Knowing I could do some pretty cool things with it, and it is handy for prototyping new concepts for clients.

I only got so far as the frag rack holders. I have some drawings started for the other items on the list I will get to! Just have to get this batch of production out of the way before I have some time to get back to it!

I was going to make up molds for doing the magnets, but it is easier for the time being, to print a holder, that matches the frag racks. As well, I am still experimenting with how to get the best strength, for the best $$. I would like to come up with something for 3/4" glass. Mostly because that is the thickness of my tank!

I have a couple other idea's on paper too, may be great, may just be for fun. We shall see!

Magnetic float holders are on the note pad. As well as an standard holder, that is adjustable with a slide.

If you email me (as I haven't looked at PM's in such a long time that I have probably missed many! I will go look after this post) the size of the probes you have (not something I use, and I am not sure what the "standard" size is) I can come up with a price.

The seahorse feeding station is pretty much just idea's. I haven't ever owned seahorses. So, if you want to make a new post of ideas that would suit your "ideal" feeding station, I can look at incorporating them into my ideas, and come up with something hopefully before the London show.
