In Line Tds Monitor Placement

I am just about to set up my rodi. I bought an inline tds monitor. Where is the best place to put the probes?

I have two DI canisters and instead of putting one at the very end I thought about putting it between the two di canisters. This way, I rotate the last di to the first di spot, and put the new one last. I can monitor when the first one is spent, and the second fresh one is there to catch any dissolved solids, a safety net.

Not sure if I articulated that properly or not but any thoughts?

I set up my RODI tonight. I put the in probe after the membrane and the out probe at the output. Both are reading zero... has anyone else seen zero tds after their membrane? Is this an anomaly because it just got setup?
