Inline Tds Meter And Handheld

So, I just changed the batteries on my RO/DI unit and now when I turn it on it says my Final output of TDS bounces around the meter from like mind 40’s to upper 80’s. Almost like a wiring thing, when I use my handheld TDS meter it says 0. This happened when I changed my batteries and also just changed my DI Resin. Should I go by my handheld and assume it is zero? Or is there a way to recalibrate the inline TDS meter? I have a spectrapure RODI

kind of a dumb question but are the batteries in right? Polarity might mess with it. Otherwise id be inclined to trust the handheld if you just changed your Resin

yes, batteries are correct. Put in the same way last ones were removed. I may try and remove the probes and give them a good cleaning. Maybe in vinegar?

Are you able to get a reading above 0 in other types of water on handheld? also inline has tendency to to get buildup overtime that will throw off the reading, flush the electrode socket and electrode, I assume it plugs into a T joint.
