I am now getting to the point I need to dose the tank.
My calc is now 460 and mag 1450 but still bringing my alk back up. Its still 6.5 today.
salinity and all others good.

Instead of using a dosing pump and 2 part. I have heard talk of adding kalkwasser to top off water.
Seems way simpler.
Anyone have any experience with this.
Thanks

I've researched this in the past, a lot of horror stories, has to be done right with safe guards, safest way is manual dosing

I have done it in the past. But it takes a lot of fine tuning depending on your evap rate. Plus the lime water you'll be using to top up evap will burn out the pump very quickly.

I’ve used Kalk and haven’t experienced any pump issues. If you’re concerned just de scale it every few months.

OK, thanks for the input.
Ya i have read some horror stories now.
I will manually dose for a while, and continue to research it a bit.
I used a dosing pump once before also, but have seen those fail also.

Im going to go with 2 part and get a dosing pump. Probably the jaebo as it seems to work well and is cheap enough.
While we're on the topic of horror stories. I have heard many stories on the forums and locally of jebao doswrs failing and vomiting their entire contents into the tank in one go.

Motor is just a motor - it does not care what to pump.
Kalk is a dusty mix and this dusty stuff is blocking tubes and when this block comes to peristaltic tube - it just brakes it. Motor rotating without any problem trying to pump nothing.
Do you have this device? I can fix it.
