So I went down to check on my tank and I saw this dark purple gunk around the base and directly on the mouth of my long tentacle anemone....I immediately thought that perhaps my sea hare was blown free and sucked into the anemone...but no...he was at the other end of the tank snoozing in the corner....I have seen my anemone release waste but this was deep purple and ink like...I grabbed my turkey baster and sucked it up in a single attempt...it had a thick mucous like consistency.....anybody seen this from an anemone? I have had it for years and have not seen this behaviour...
