Nominations are being sought for all positions of the MAST Executive Board for a one-year term, June 2018 to June 2019.
PRESIDENT:
Act as the Chief Executive Officer of MAST and generally provide leadership and supervision.
Seek to ensure that the other Officers and the Executive carry out their duties
Chair all Executive meetings and membership meetings, and serve as an ex-officio member of all MAST committees.
Act as an official representative and spokesperson for MAST.
VICE-PRESIDENT
Assist the President in carrying out all of their duties.
Act for the President, in the President’s absence or at the request of the President.
TREASURER
Keep a complete and accurate record of the financial transactions of MAST and make these available to the Executive at all reasonable times.
Prepare an annual financial statement for the approval of the Executive and the membership.
Ensure the safekeeping of MAST’s financial assets.
Attend to correspondence relating to MAST’s finances.
Nominations for candidates to stand for election must be proposed and seconded in writing by MAST members in good standing as defined in the MAST Constitution and must be accompanied by the written consent of the nominee(s)to any current MAST Executive Board Member. Emails are acceptable.
For a member to be eligible to run for the Executive Board, they must be a member in good-standing as of 15 March 2018.
Elections will take place at the Annual General Meeting, Wednesday, 13 June 2018, at the Armour Heights Community Centre, 2140 Avenue Road, Toronto at 8:00pm SHARP. The meeting starts at 7:30pm and the doors will lock at 8pm for the election.
