I dunno....after scratching 2 tanks now, I don't know as if I would trust a metal blade on a magnet.  In fact to this day i still don't know how I scratched my current tank.

dont know about that first one but i did have the one from big Al's,got rusty to quick,and i think i kinda side with the cracker about using anything metal anymore,Mr Clean magic eraser is good if you don't mind getting your hands wet or using gloves

I like to use one of those bath gloves that you use to scrub your skin.  I bought a couple of white ones that I can bleach and sterilize easily and I don't mix them up with my others.  I tried one with a metal scraper and it didn't do a very good job.
