Ok now now my foxface is shedding??

OK so now ive been noticing my foxface sheds what looks to be a slime coating once in awile ive tryed to research this but get mixed reviews is this normal? before he does it he also seems to change his colour a bit?? other ppl say that this is normal, but ive never heard of them doing this any1 know..

I don't know very much about Foxface fish but wrasses sleep covered in a slime layer that is secreted at dusk to protect them from predators at night. Sometimes in the morning, you can see it hanging off the fish. Perhaps Foxface fish do the same thing.
