Hey everyone,
I've got 3 pajama cardinals in my tank and I'm trying to figure out if they are male or female,
Any hints on how to tell them apart

Thanks for your help

Males have longer secondary dorsal fins then females, long enough that some almost touch the tail. (Secondary dorsal fin is the top fin behind the black stripe closest to the tail) Females are usually rounder then males. In my experience yours will have to get bigger before you can accurately sex them. But to take a guess the last pictures does look a little longer. They are mouth brooders and the male will carry the eggs so keep an eye open for that. It is hard to see but they typically look like they need to spit something out and don't eat during the mouth brooding phase.
