see some people are inquiring about ph in their aquarium so i thought this Randy Holmes article might be of interest

One thing here I would like to point out while we are talking about PH..... How many of us are matching PH values when we get new fish and acclimate them? Or are we just simply matching the salinity??

Acclimation is key to success. I'm a firm believer in dripping new additions for a long time before they are placed in their new homes. I usually use the drip or cup method to double the water. Then scoop half that water out and repeat at least two more times. I found taking your time and doing it right creates much less stress on the new addition and gives a much better survival rate.
