I ordered the pump and when I got it I noticed that the 1-1/4" Inlet outlet is a straight thread what seems to be BSPP I'm not sure. I could not find these fittings anywhere, and the ones I bought could only go on 2 or 3 threads so I decided to re thread the ones I have from my local hardware they are NPT.
Materials Used:
1-1/4" Brass P trap
Hacksaw
WD-40
Channel Locks
What I did was I took a 1-1/4" brass P trap adapter and cut 3 evenly spaced lines through the thread of the adapter at a 60 degree angle so it can cut through the PVC. Then I banged in the threads a little at the sharp points to flatten out the peaks.
Now I started threading on the pipe and my cheap home made threader was shaving off the taper pretty nicely. And the fittings fit on my pump np.
