is it on the glass or ur plants and rock? more circulation (mite) help.
do a water test , check salinty in your sump compared to the display tank.

i had crzy red slime in my sump and the salinity was higher than my DT ,
I added a floss filled aqua clear to my sump (current and cleaning)

BUT I left it until it started to slowly decicate and it raisd my nitr.

my pods lived in it and i have tons of pods now and no red slime in the dt

cyanobacteria(red slime) eats nitrates like crazy, you will prob test real low for nitrates cuz of the cyano, more flow might spread it to your display, I would physically remove it, however, your nitrates may go up in which case you will need nitrate control. 20% waterchange would be quickest, macroalgae in sump, denitrator of some sort. also what is your photoperiod in your sump, you may have to reduce it.

I had a problem with it once when I was getting lazy on my water changes.
Bumped it back up to regular weekly changes, added some gfo for a month or so and I have never seen it since.

Weird that it's only in the fuge.  I get the same with more red slime and hair algae.  Seems strange, as this is the first stop after skimmer and phosban reactor, and the fuge has macro algae.  Must be the flow and lights....
