I have this red spiderweb looking algae growing on my overflow box. It doesn't appear to be growing in my rocks yet and would like to figure out what it is and how to get rid of it.

It is fairly tight woven, not slimey and doesn't come off easily(with a wipe, haven't tried to scrape)

Thanks for the new pic

Red hair algae growing on white/bleached coralline algae. Turbo snails or astrea snails to get rid of it, not sure about manual removal  ??? That may just spread spores.

Sorry dude... I guess I'm not going to give coral with my rocks anymore because that stuff spreads easily it seems... hope you get it under control quickly... the tuxedo urchin worked well for me that I got off you ironically until he committed suicide going behind my rocks in a one way cave and not being able to find his way out I assume. Mexican turbo does go at it too, but not like that urchin did.

Cheers
