I was thinking, yes again, about adding two strips of reebrites to my 8 bulb t5's. But holy crap, is there a less expensive led that is as good as reefbrite.

All depends if you are looking to supplement missing spectrum...or just get the LED pop. DIY is always the best way to go for supplementing and you are near some good guys who would probably do the DIY part for you for a few beers. I know I would :D

A bit of both I guess. More par and looking for the color pop and shimmer effect.
I'm getting good growth, bit thought i might get more coloring with leds added.
I'm useless with electrical stuff. Thats why i liked the reefbrite.

I have a Reef brite I used for 2 months, then I bought my LED's, so its just wrapped up back in the Box. If you want to see if over your tank before you buy one.

yup two would do it.. if ur sps heavy I would advise three. mixed tank would be fine with two though. I had one replace a 250 giesmann hallide and i still bleached out coral at 40% power lol. the light is intense. Im hoping this or next weekend to get someone overhere to par map the tank. im running 5 units over a 72L 140g

I dropped over to Average Guy's last night to see his new leds - they look great, he's happy, worth considering. He had his shipped to the border and picked them up. No hassle at the border. Will get a photo of them when I can. I've decided it's the route I'll go, definitely less expensive. This is a link to the value fixtures he bought.

I forgot to say - lots of shimmer with these lights, I'll ask Shayne about taking some photos of them, I'm away this afternoon and he's in the midst of exterior Christmas decorating in a BIG way at the moment, will get them as soon as possible !
