I'm wondering whether anyone else has had a similar experience. I've been running my RO/DI (AquaticLife) now for 5 weeks and as of last night the DI was still mostly black with about an inch of brown. When I came back today (Wasn't run at all yet today) the DI was completely brown.
Has anyone experienced a sudden color change in their DI like this? I've only run maybe 50-60 Gallons through it till now and was expecting it to last a lot longer. That being said I don't have a TDS to test whether what's coming out is bad but was told the colour is an indication.
I'm in East York if that makes a difference. All the plumbing in the house is brand new along with the city supply lines to the house and as mentioned was running for the last 5 weeks without much change in color.
