Hey everyone,

What does everyone do with there RODI waste water,

I've used it for watering my plants, my grass, washing my car, etc.

Now that fall is coming, i'm running out of ways to use it,
and it would seem wasteful to just let it drain down the sink.

What does everyone else do with the waste water from there RODI system.

Let me know.

Only good use is in the garden. The high mineral content can rust and damage your washer and clothes.

Water is the cheapest part of the hobby, I am woith @Salty Cracker, mine just goes down the drain. I go through less water in a month (including waste) for my tanks then 1 bath for my daughter

I laid a small line back to my cistern and I reuse it during the summer. In the winter though the line freezes and I pour The water down the drain

Pretty sure water ends up being about $0.02 per gallon with the RODI waste including the sewage fee. I haven't looked at a bill for a while. So my 30 gallons I make a week with waste water is approx 120 gallons costs me about $2.40. Yes, it is a waste and I probably should use it, but it is a huge pita to reuse it vs using the water that the washer is hooked to

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure what everyone else was doing with it.

Other then adding a pressure pump and a second RO filter, is there any other way to decrease the amount of waste water produced?
or is any upgrade not worth it.

Financially it is not worth it.

Environmentalist may say otherwise.

Although when you run a 0 waste system you just end up replacing media 3 times faster ... making more trash for landfills. Megh see-saw back and forth on that one
