Need to get a head start on my hair algea problem (had a bloom after doing an emergency tank change) still getting parameters to level out and looking to set up a proper reef and refuge in the coming months. In the meantime. I'd like to keep ahead of that freaking hair algea. I know sea hairs are supposed to be good for eating tons of it. But I don't think I'd have enough to sustain one. Anyone here interested in doing an exchange program? I'll buy him outright if I know someone else will take him a couple weeks after me for a little less money. They could have someone lined up after. And so on and so forth.

Could be good for those of us that have a hard time getting ahead of it

Just keep in mind sea hares need to be feed supplements as well they will eventually starve on just hair algea alone

I've heard seahares eat hair algae, but has anyone actually saw one eating it?

The old timers would tell me a fish's stomach is roughly the size of their eye.

I have almost eradicate my hair algae. Pull hair algae, large water changes, clean filter socks more regularly and sump clean up. Changed my lighting decreased and added a bag of phosguard to my sump.
Edit: also my lawnmower blenny is always pecking at hair algae and the emerald crabs
