Bought this tank and the caulking is brown in one corner... what do you guys think? Should I cut it out and reseal that side and back? It feels solid to touch and I don't feel it peeling up but I don't know.

Anyone have any ideas?

i dont think you HAVE to reseal. the silicone is just discolored, i have seen it alot in various tanks and ive used sumps with discolor areas for long periods of time.

That being said i dont disagree with the above that for peace of mind you can just cut out all the corner beads and reseal... the extra couple hours it takes now are nothing compared to a tank leak cleanup.

good luck either way :)

How many gallons is it? If its 10 or 20 gallons, I wouldn't bother, if its 210 or 220 gallons, might not be a horrible idea...

It's a 90 gallon and I took the advice and cut out the caulk and will reseal. Now I just have to determine if I want black or clear. Lol. Such a hard decision.
