Swag Hooks To Hang Light

I want to hang my dsuny lights from the ceiling (too cold right now to build canopy), but of course the joists aren’t where I need them to be. Anyone ever used swag hooks with toggle nuts to hang lights from drywall ceiling?

Manufacturer of hooks states most drywall will suspend 30lbs. Seems like a risky proposition, but can’t think of another way to do it, short of screwing a 6ft board across joists and hanging from that.

How many lights and weight/dimensions? If the correct amount of hooks are used and hooks are properly spaced to support the weight there should not be any issues.

Oh wait... this is the light I did lol. You will be fine with 2 hooks per fixture. Just don't play Tarzan with them.

2 for each is what I had in mind. If my scale is correct, the lights only weigh 5.5lbs each, so really each hook is only holding 2.75lbs. Doesn’t look great, but once the weather turns around I can build a facade to hide it all.
