There is alot of testing such as ur
calcium, alkalinity, carbonate hardness,ammonia,phosphate,nitrate, nitrates,and also magnesium and strontium..for the new ppl read the stickies and articles on here and even buying saltwater for dummies book will help out alot to.

ca, alk, mag are very important, in a new tank ammonia,nitrite, and nitrate as well, in an established tank you don't need to test ammonia and nitrite unless your nitrates are high
po4 tests are not accurate, if you have algae and cyano run gfo.
