hey... ive got HUNDREDS of these tiny looking maggot looking things in my sump..... wtf are they?????

in case you cant see it in the pics, that black grate is clean.... anything you see on it is one of these bug thingys

copepods and amphipods good to have if you ever get a mandrin or wrasse

those are mysid shrimp. copepods are much smaller.

your right....amphipod....always thought they were mysids for some reason.  Definitely not copepods though.

ya copepods are much smaller ,  chances are if you have amhipods you have copepods aswell .. great little guys to have in your sump , they can mulitply in there because there NO predetors and then get fed up to the DT via return pump and your DT I can gaurentee is loaded with them aswell. They usually scatter into rocks when the lights turn on .
