So earlier this week i found my small maxima clam that i have had for 2years +, dead, just an empty shell:(. It wasn't till yesterday night that i noticed my lunare wrasse ( a fairly new addition) going at my large squamosa clam. The large clam is temporarly moved to my frag tank, now on to the task of catching him, which is not going to be easy, if i can even manage to get him in the trap. (skiddish).

Wow sorry to hear this Chris
Hard to believe that the wrasse would get through the clam in such short time so hopefully you can save it and the mantle is only damaged and not killed off
Clam mantles can actually heal pretty quickly so keep the faith
I agree that a move to a quiet location is best to allow healing
Wrasse species can be nippy with clams, softies and corals so be aware !
Keep us posted please
