Bought a frag off of Rick a week or two ago has two stocks of Xenia
Seemed to be doing fine but now one stock is turning brownish.. still open and all but darker than the other.

Read on the web xenia can be hit and miss?
Anyone know what might be going down?

my lights are not crazy good.. but I just moved the frag up top to see if it needs more light.
My water quality reads pretty good 0 nitrates, ites, ammonia.
Salinity 1.024-1.026

Its my understanding that Xenia like the water a little "dirty."

I notice that if I use fresh carbon my Xenia is the first to respond by getting thin and they stop pulsating.

I stopped my carbon and skimmer for a couple days and dosed some iodine and things went back to normal.

Good luck!

Yeah i guess  ;D

I suppose I should look into a different type of bigger coral.
It seems to be still alive, just darkened up a bit... We'll see how it goes.
