Zoa pest

Any idea what this is? It white, and kinda moss-like. It will peel off in chunks, usually without damaging the coral. So far it's infesting 2 small colonies. The zoas looked stressed and don't open much. Sorry about the bad photo.

sponge, i had this happen.. just take the frag out of water and shake the water off and let it sit in the air for 10 minutes.. then drop it back in.. the sponge will die, the zoos will never know the difference.

It's very similar (but different). I would say mine have more branches, but they seem to spread the same way. Seeing as there are so many species of sponge, I'd say you're bang on. And yeah, fresh water dipping didn't do anything. Thanks.

I use the little dentist tools that come in the big screwdriver set from Canadian tire, works good for getting between polyps to scrape sponge off.
