Learning a little how to shoot my tank with my Canon DSLR..
Thought these did the tank more justice then the washed out blue pictures i posted on the weekend!!!!

That's one awesome looking tank! what sort of system do you run? (Lights,dosing, equipment...?)

Thanks.. 2x 155w ocean revive Chinese leds, no dosing, monthly 30% waterchange, gfo and carbon reactors all the time. Old euro reef 5-2 skimmer, tunze auto top off system. And that's it.... I rarely test my parameters, maybe every 3 months, I mostly keep my hands out of the tank and fully believe in a minimalistic approach to reef keeping. Years ago, late 90's when I had my first tank I had much success and this was long before all the new gadgets and chemicals were available for our tanks..

I pay attention to my corals, fish etc and so far let that dictate if the tank needs any attention! So far I'd say it's working!

Beautiful tank, great photos.
Are you shooting RAW and then adjusting WB or ?

Shooting with custom white balance.. Adjusted by taking photo of white paper or pvc under the tank lighting then applying a custom wb in my settings. Fairly detailed description of this several places in the Internet. Then of course all photos run through photo editor for sharpening!
