That total on top left where it say new post. Does it count up of down?
New Posts at the top of the page is how many new posts since you last clicked a window. It goes up and down depending on how quick you read. If it is at 10 and you read a post, but 5 people post in threads while you read that one, you will then have 14 new posts if you go back to the main page.
