I'm fully aware that u need to acclimate corals, but I just bought a some rock for my LFS put it in the tank and what do u know a piece of frodspawn was on the bottom of it along with a bunch of mushroom!!  I'm pretty excited I got thus stuff for free lol. But the problem is I'm not prepared for corals as I didn't plan on keeping any until I get situated with fish.  The mushroom seem to be fine about 3/4 open. But the frogspawn completely closed.  If everything ok with the frogspawn, what should I do lol

Pretty sure that there are no poisons that you have to worry about like some corals when they die off. But putting this out there for additional feedback. Personally, I would just ride it out, keep it lit and see what happens. If it dies off, then nothing really lost. If it comes back, I am sure that someone here will be happy to take it off your hands :)

Well my parameters seem fine so I think it should turn around, and my fish store gave me 35 gallons to start off so there is water similarity.  Is it normal for corals to close up when u put them in?  And my mushrooms should be fine right?

Mushrooms are pretty hardy, even I can grow them. LoL. As for Frogspawn, they are pretty hardy in my experience, they should turn around pending your water does not cycle.

Just an update, the 3 mushrooms opened up and I looks like I have a couple of heads of Texas trash as well. But the frogspawn isn't opening, I'm actually not sure if it's that or hammer lol but either way it's not open :(

It can take a few days for a coral to open so don't worry to much.

When my tank was crashing my frog spawn was doing great :mad:/ now that levels are getting better he is not doing so great, while everything else is doing better. I am going to give it to my brother for a bit and see what happens

The best advice is to just donate it to the first other Windsorite to post in this thread. ;)

Maybe move it around - medium flow, lowish light to start, maybe blast it with a little food???
