So crazy growth on one of my acropora frags but the wrong way , over the plug and encrusting onto the rock , when will it start to grow up.

Sps will grow to create a base that can support the colony. I have some that have grown 3-4" bases before they go up. Sometimes you get growths all over the encrusting part too. When that happens its setting up to go HUGE. Plus, they grow to the current and light in your tank.
