A friend just got a coral beauty and added to his 24g nano.  Seems to be really harassing his clown.  Usually I find it's the new fish that are picked on, so a rock rearrange and lights out for a bit help, but the new guy is the bully.

Any advice?

Hey!
I have a coral beauty as well and he is the biggest bully in the tank by far but never does more then push the guys around, never causes any harm to them. It slows down after a while when the tank gives in and realizes that he's the new boss lol. Things have slowed down now and he just patrols around, the tank will find a happy medium.
Cheers!

Angel fish should be housed in bigger tanks , they do nip at sps and clams also being housed in a small tank is probably why the aggression is there .

if the new fish is being the bully, its not an issue of turning off the lights. or rearanging the rocks. All angels are somewhat aggresive, combine that with an undersized tank...(24g is way too small for any angel imo) and your guarenteed to have argression issues

Agreed, I wouldn't have recommended it.  The good thing is, he is monitoring the situation and planning on getting rid of it if the problems persist.

I am in the same boat to a degree, in that I figure I am just renting my hippo until he outgrows the 75g.  Should be another year outta him, I guess...
