Not sure this is the right spot for this post - here it goes.

who is using the standard AI hydra's? and what are your settings?

Mine at peak (3 over 6ft tank @ 24 above water line)
red 5%
green 15%
white 35%
royal blue - 90%
deep blue 90%
violet 75%
uv 40%

Anyone have lower UV? and higher white? what was the result?

im at about 12" off the water,i use no red or greens,i prefer the 14,000k look as opposed to the more 20,000k most here like,my uv is close to 60% and my violets are well under 60%,using the colour graph on top (i use the director) i try to target my blue spectrums towards the 420nm,then i turn my whites up and adjust my blues and violet to get closest to the 420nm,the uv doesnt give off much if any light visible to the naked eye but corals need it so i do run them fairly high.
there are presets but i run mine on a manual configuration that i created as a preset.have excellent growthand shimmer

Very interesting what are your whites during peak hours? and how long is your peak time. I also use the director and love it. Did you find green and red promote any algae growth?

my ramp time starts about 6:30am and hits peak by 11am,stays at peak untill around 2pm then a steady drop till around 5pm then levels out till around 7pm with the whites off and only blues till lights out at 9pm.my whites at peak 70% and blues at dusk are about 30% with gradual drop till off at 8pm

Oh wow same type of photo period - im thinking of increasing my whites and shutting down my reds. I found increasing my uv gave me browning issues.
