anyone on here use an alpha cone??

I finally got my alpha cone yesterday, thanks bill, and i know it can take up to two weeks before it finishes a break in period, but i fully expected to come home from work tonight to find some skimmate in my collection cup.  I didnt.
Just wondering if anyone on here uses one and how they went about dialing it in.

It could just need to break in....but if you set it right you should get something.  I usually set the bubble line about half way up and over time it reaches the top and you have skim.  So I suggest you just raise the bubbles till you get something.

it helps when you put it in the sump right side up and not upside down. haha. read reviews on it, looks awesome.

its a bit tricky.  not only can i adjust the water level, but i can also adjust the amount of air to water ratio.  this is where im new to it.

Call the guy that sold it to you.  He should know how to work what he sells.

there will be more larger bubbles with added air

less air will cause small bubbles and will be less frothy

the other thing im confused about is,  it is supposed to come with an option for changing pump placement.  making it easier to adapt to different sump setups.  vertex must have changed its design because mine isnt the same as any other i have seen on the internet.  not sure how cool i am with that because the design i wanted would have fit in my sump better.
