Yes, it is hair algae. Lots of threads here about battling it.is this hair algae? It keeps growing back, we are using algone, and doing 35% water changes every week. We are also manually removing it, but it won't go away.
Still need to isolate the root of the problem or it will just come back.I am going to get my son a sea hare and then get rid of it once the algae problem is cleaned up, as I don't like that creature
Sea hares are sooooo coool one of my favoritesI am going to get my son a sea hare and then get rid of it once the algae problem is cleaned up, as I don't like that creature
I tried a Sea hare, back in the first year of having a saltwater tank. They don't eat enough algae or the hair type to be worth the trouble. They also are incredibly hard to keep alive in my experience.(limited) they will die and can release poison that could have serious side effects ( kill life in aquarium).I am going to get my son a sea hare and then get rid of it once the algae problem is cleaned up, as I don't like that creature
Sea hares will eventually starve... they will eat hair algae but the algae in the aquarium is does not have enough nutrients in it to sustain them... if you do buy one you need to buy supplemental algae to support themI am going to get my son a sea hare and then get rid of it once the algae problem is cleaned up, as I don't like that creature
