just wondering what everyone uses for their fragging/ attaching glue? Ive been using bsi ic-gel for the last couple years and it works great but at almost $10 usd per tube it adds up.

I normally use dollar store gel as well. I got a bottle of Cg with my Ecotech prop kit and love it. Probably 100 frags worth glued already and still a lot left in the bottle. I may pick it up again next time.

I use Ecotech CG - best out there I have found but of course dollar store glue will also work
For large frags I use a "sandwich" method, which consists of coral putty with CG glue on either side. Instant bond with the CG and long term bond with the coral putty !

ya i use puty to make a clean smooth bonding surface then crazy glue the 2 together since i normally add my plugged stuff to a small chunk of lr then put in display.... thanks to that was able to save most my colonies when tank leaked and if you read the back of almost every major coral glue they all are cyano-acrylate as main ingredient...prob all comes from same factory just different labels

well according to readily available msds sheets it says cg glue is ethyl cyanoacrylate ester 90-95% and hydroquinone0.1-1%

all others i could find were just cyanoacrylate (ethyl-2 cyanoacrylate is ethyl cyanoacrylate ester so dont be alarmed) and treated fumed silica to make it gel and original runny style super glue is just 100% cyanoacrylate....i wonder why they put hydroquinone in cg glue instead

Yikes, I knew it was too good to be true ! : )
Something in the CG that bonds more evenly than "Krazy Glue"

CA or cyanacrylate is the main ingredient in all crazy glue products. DONT WASTE money on products that claim to be better. They're not. Look at the attached link. He is in Ontario and I spent thousands of dollars at his website when I used to make custom pens. And I've used hundreds of the Oz of CA glue. This stuff isn't the only size he has if your interested. Just a point 8oz of gel type for 19 bucks.
Go to your local hobby shops and you'll find larger bottles of CA glue typically 2oz plus and it's much cheaper. Or use dollar store gel it's good too.
Just hate to see people spend like 40 bucks for "coral glue" .

I use the same glue. Cost about 5$ at the hobby shop beside canada computers at weber and university.
