Well ive read bad reviews of aquatraders and their odyessa light fixtures prices seem to good for what their offering. Has anyone attempted to buy from them?? I need another light fixture asap is it worth the risk or should i just save up some more..280 for a 48 mh t5 led combo? ?????

be prepared to swap out the ballasts and bulbs but other than that i havent heard too many negative reviews.

if you buy the reflectors I could help you build a nice unit out of wood and steel u channel I have a drill and a small mitre saw.

you would need 4x 48" reflectors ($120)
2x halide reflectors (used - about $50-$150 depending on what you want)
2x250 watt ballast (dual or two single units - i recommend singles) ($200 - $300)
one 4 bulb t5ho ballast - you could run an ice cap and over drive if you wanted. ($60 to $125)
bulbs (2 halides plus 4 t5s) ($250ish)

total cost is going to be around 600 including bulbs i think. Ship to the border and order from teh states is the cheapest. Couple guys on canreef are getting rid of some reflectors.

nothing wrong with the aquatraders unit. Like i said just keep an eye on teh ballasts (maybe pick some good quality used ones when someone is getting rid of them to replace teh original units) and swap out the bulbs.
