ive tried i few different kinds of glass cleaners and sandsifting ones etc, but in the last 3 months I've seen the snails are lazy and pretty much not move all day , and then at night it's like watching nascar .. The zoom all over the glass cleaning and what not . I just wish they did more work in the day as well lol,

Can anyone tell me some good algee & class cleaners snails only ! :)

I always like cerith and nassarius for tank maintenance. Maybe a turbo.
Nassarius like to disturb the sand bed which is always good.
I always end up with a mixture.

turbos eat alot and fast but are ignorant bulldozers so make sure everything is epoxied in well they can cause a rock slide when bigger.

no one snail will do it some only eat filamentous algae others only film ideally you want a mix of a few for certain things.

Turbos are by far the best for glass. Banded trochus are best for crazy rockwork as they are self righting. You always need nassarius in the sandbed maybe with a conch. If you can find them mini cowry snails are amazing for all the nooks and crannies but not around much lately. And of corse one of my fav are those ninja star snails they are slow but thorough. Get some of all and you will love your cleanup crew.... skip a few and expect issues in the near future.

BTW I have snails because it think they are cool. I'm not a big believer in the necessity of cleanup crew although I have snails in the frag tank since it is bare bottom so very little microfauna.

They are all small except conchs, mexican turbos or jumbo cowry. The small do better anyway its not size but amount that matters

some of mine came from the store in Cambridge... I had a Picasso trigger and when I added more snails to the tank he picked 3 of them off right away but never bother with the stars, mine are super sticky...
