Here is the simple truth. If your tank is 0 across the board and you have no issues with nuisance algae then you have to ask yourself "Why do I need to change anything?"
Pellets are an excellent way to achieve certain results

I use pellets because I am a chronic over feeder and I push the envelope on too much livestock ( I love lots of fish in my tanks) I have a need for something to keep N and P under control. I used to run full Zeo but got too lazy to continue it.

Its all cause and effect

phi delt's tank is new..hence the 0 across the board.

myself I like to feed lots too.  at the moment im using npx bio plastics but I intend to change shortly to either brs or vertex pellets. I believe it is best to start running pellets at the beginning, rather then adding them later.

well from what it seems to me, they are all basically the same makeup.  The only reason im considering changing is the NPX pellets seem to vary in size from bag to bag. They are also smaller then most other brands so there is more surface area for the same weight...idk I just like to experiment lol
