Biopellets vs GFO?

I was just reading up on biopellets, and I had always assumed that they just affected nitrates.  But apparently they act like carbon dosing and can affect PO4 as well?  As I've mentioned in other threads, I got my PO4 down below 0.1 in the last few months but have been battling nitrates.  Started dosing carbon (tried vodka and sugar) but had minimal results - just made my API vial go from red to light orange.  Since I used around 90% new water when rebuilding my tank at the new house, I have nitrates down around 5-10 ppm again, but I'm worried that they will just start to climb back to their previous levels.

I've just got the one reactor and would like to keep it that way for now due to being broke as shit after the move!  Could switching from GFO to biopellets be my answer???  Opinions from those who have used both, please.  Thanks.

I did the whole vodka dosing as well. It DID work extremely well, but it was a HUGE pain to keep on top of.

I switched to pellets and GFO a while ago and love running them in separate reactors.

i would say it would work better for you ... start slow..you will need some po4 so dont strip it before you start pellets...
