Hi,
I was just wondering how long it takes branching hammer heads to separate.  I have one that now has 14 heads from 2, but all the new ones are still connected by a lot of tissue.  In most pics I've seen, they have a small amount of tissue on the end of each branch.  My duncan and candy canes are doing the same thing.

Parameters are fine.  I'd say that it is very healthy.  There is a couple inches of thick living tissue under the heads.  I thought that tissue would have receded or died off by now.
I'll take some pics after dark tonight.

Isn't this an excessive amount of tissue?

It's about the size of a baseball like that, softball sized when extended.

Looks fine to me.  Tissue is good, give it time and the tissue should continue to calcify and create branches.  I have branching frogspawn and duncans that I both got at last years Fragfest, the duncan is just finally starting to branch now and the frogspawn looks similar to yours above.
