Bubble Algae--  seems i have introduced some bubble algae this week and today it is still there even with my efforts to remove what looked like a small amount when i first discovered it,it is in my small coral tank and will be contained there, but i ask what works for YOU in ridding this ugly looking eyesore?and yes my perimeters are all in line, only my PO is a little elevated at 0.77

Question of the day July 14th

I have noticed a few bubbles on a rock in my cube. It hasn't spread or grew or anything so I have left alone as I'm afraid of breaking bubble and releasing the algae pours. I think next time I do water change I'm going to take rock out and scrub the snot out of it.

Just accept it or get some emerlds and maybe they will touch it :)
I have no found a good way to kill the stuff.. i eve tried burying it in sand... doesnt work.  Next up is an injection of peroxide or rubbing alchohol.

IMO, once you have it, there is no such thing as getting rid of it. It is already growing in places you can't see.

Emerald crabs might "eat it," but each time they crush a bubble with their claw, the spores will flow through out your water column keeping a steady food source for them. :-\

Re: Question of the day July 14th

I just removed the piece from my tank that had the bubble algae. Hopefully it isn't on any other pieces, I just replaced it with a hunk of dry base rock, hope the clowns like it as the rock I took out was the one they are hosting.

Question of the day July 14th

I just found another rock in my cube with some bubble algae on it. I'm going to remove this rock as well, it seems to grow fine in the shade as where it is there is next to no light.
